Illustration Friday – kom med dit bud…
Se alle de fantastiske bud p? denne uges tema: Aging…
“>After a long period of making nothing I feel rusty. I feel like my hands are in no way going to cooperate, but finally I made it. I made an illustration for this weeks topic…
14 days in Provence made me realize, that my baby ain’t no baby anymore. She’s a preteen with her own opinions, her own strong will and a very nice way with other people. She’s a beauty, long legged and with the face of an angel. She makes me proud in every way.
In a corner of her room, the long forgotten signs of the child slowly leaving me for the young woman to come, lies sadly abandoned. It’s sad, but inevitable and most of all… it’s okay.

So good to see you back submitting your illustrations again! I too understand what your are feeling as you watch your daughter growing up as I am experiencing the same thing with my own children, only they are all teens and one is an adult – or at the very least trying to be! As always, your illustrations delight me! Have a wonderful week!

2. august 2005 at 07:26It is hard when time passes things by and we try to “catch up.” I think nothing can make a mom feel ancient as fast as a teen aged daughter. Best wishes!
