Illustration Friday – kom med dit bud…
Se alle de fantastiske bud p? denne uges tema: Nourishment…
“>I love late summer, when all my vegetables and fruit are ready for preserving. I make marmelade, pickles and I love making experiments, which not always turns out like I hoped they would.
This year I have no vegetable garden. We had a hurricane that destroyed most of the greenhouse and the piece of land I usually use for growing vegetables is occupied by a large and very old poplar, so I better think of something else to do in late summer this year ;-)
Well… actually I still have my blueberyy, raspberry, black currant (my favorite), gooseberry and apples from 5 trees, so I guess I shouldn’t complain and… my rhubarb is ready, so I better go make some rhubarb lemonade now. I wish you a wonderful weekend :-)

15. maj 2005 at 14:08This is the best food I’ve seen yet. Maybe because it has a nostalgic feel to it. Not just the style but the subject of canning fruit -something my mother and grandmothers did when I was a kid.
Lovely.

14. maj 2005 at 22:30Oh Liselotte,
This is so fantastic and vibrant!!! I love this illustration, so colorful and textural. Wow! I use to make pickles and salsa but haven’t in a long time, just too much moving to lug around all the canning jars. Maybe I will take it up again since I am NOT moving again. :) My rhubard was harvest from our yard last week and my husband said I made the most incredible rhubarb strawberry crisp he has ever had! How do you make rhubarb lemonade?
By the way, thank you for translating your journal in English, you are so sweet and kind!
