Illustration Friday – kom med dit bud…

Well… this week I had to make something showing how delicate and fragile life sometimes presents itself. My son stopped breathing 2 days ago – very dramatic – but he’s fine again now. He is almost 15 years old, disabled probably with a muscular disease, but noone ever found out for sure. He’s a great kid :-)
The egg has to be my son. Standing in spite of everything trying to tip him over. He’s my hero.

14. januar 2005 at 21:34I ilke the colours and background patterning – this is a great take on the topic, i only wish it had been drawn under better circumstances. I hope your son continues to be fine and it was only a one off episode.

14. januar 2005 at 15:55It was scary, but he’s doing much better now. Last week went totally crazy and I didn’t have the time to make the illustration allthough I actually started one.
I made it this week ;-)

14. januar 2005 at 15:44Liselotte, so glad that you had time to do your lovely illustration, made so much more meaningful through the telling of your story. I wish the best for you and your son. I have three of my own and I understand how scary it must be for this to have happened.

14. januar 2005 at 14:13Just lovely. For some reason I’m reminded of Magritte… The illustration achieves all that you intended to portray. Best regards to your family, and healthy days ahead for your son.
